Just in time for spring/summer patio boozing, the inaugural Top 5 Report brings you a list of the top 5 margaritas in Atlanta, as determined by a select group of judges who believe their opinions are of reasonable value.

Each of the drinks below has been carefully selected for a specific reason…

Maybe it’s the premium tequila and fresh-squeezed lime, or maybe it was the precursor to a vaguely fuzzy evening of hilariously bad decisions…

Either way, it’s something to tell your friends about.

Pozole Coconut Margarita
Editor’s favorite. A perfect margarita with a Pina Colado twist. Extra points for shaved ice.

Across the Street Mango Margarita
“Super fresh ingredients, real mango flavor, not too sweet, just enough tequila. Perfectly refreshing for a sunny day on their patio.” (click here for photos)

Pozole House Margarita
Yes, Pozole made the list twice. They deserve it!
“Tasty without tasting like a girly drink. They’re pleasantly picky about their tequila.”

Nava Prickly Pear Margarita
One word…”delish.”

Noche House Margarita
“Fresh lime juice, hand -shaken, great selection of tequilas.” (editor’s note, ask for a splash of grapefruit juice to cut the sweetness)

Honorable mention: I would be remiss if I did not give a shout out to Carumba Cafe. They were nominated for “extreme blackout potential” as their margarita is 95% tequila and 5% lime.

So please review this list, execute your own taste test if needed, and provide feedback. I take great pride these top 5 lists and would like them to be as legitimate as possible…please help keep me honest.
